Salary: Level A $66,809 – $90,657 p.a. or Level B $95,434 – $113,323 p.a plus 9.5% superannuation

Level of appointment will be commensurate with the qualifications and relevant experience of the successful appointee

We are seeking a full time Computational Biologist on a 2 year contract to join the Biostatistics Unit and Modelling and Simulation Unit, Centre of Epidemiology and Biostatistics (Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, The University of Melbourne). This is an exciting role working with a dynamic multidisciplinary research team. The research program is externally funded and has the overarching aim of improving the treatment and control of malaria.

The successful applicant will develop and validate mathematical models, which describe the interplay between antimalarial drug concentration and effect on clearing the malaria infection, and perform statistical analyses of data from a malariometric surveillance program to provide evidence for malaria treatment and control policy in Papua, Indonesia.
