Salary: $120,993 - $139,510 p.a. (Level C) or $145,685 - $160,500 p.a. (Level D) plus 17% superannuation. Level of appointment will be determined by the level of achievement of the applicant.

The University of Melbourne seeks an enthusiastic, motivated and team-focused veterinary pathologist to join our team in the Department of Veterinary Biosciences at the Melbourne Veterinary School. The Melbourne Veterinary School’s Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) is AVMA, RCVS and VSAAC accredited and the school is ranked globally at 15th among veterinary professional schools. The Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Veterinary Pathology will contribute to the professional training of graduate students and junior academic staff in veterinary pathology. The incumbent will be also responsible for diagnostic services in anatomic pathology and for planning, developing and implementing research, establishing collaborations with researchers in other sections and supervising graduate students enrolled in research and coursework degrees in veterinary pathology.

The Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Veterinary Pathology will take a leading role and contribute to curricular development and to the theoretical and practical instruction in veterinary anatomic pathology of students enrolled in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program. 

The successful applicant will be based at the Werribee campus of the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences but will be expected to teach at the Parkville campus from time to time.
