Salary: $87,415* - $93,830 p.a. (*PhD entry level A.6) plus 9.5% superannuation

We are looking for a highly motivated researcher, with a PhD in Quantum Chemistry, and a strong background in the development and application of ab initio multiconfigurational quantum chemistry methods for the simulation of the electronic structure and spin dynamics of lanthanide-based single molecule magnets (LnSMMs). The position is based primarily at the University of Melbourne and the aim will be to develop, under the supervision of Dr Alessandro Soncini, new ab initio parameterised models for the simulation and analysis of Inelastic Neutron Scattering (INS) experiments.  The INS experiments on LnSMMs materials will be performed and analysed by the researcher at ANSTO Lucas Heights, under the supervision of Dr Richard Mole.
