The Faculty of Fine Arts and Music at the University of Melbourne is home to the Victorian College of the Arts and the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. Long recognised as one of the leading providers of fine arts and music education in Australia, the Faculty has an ambitious plan to grow its global profile. 2019 marks an exciting and significant moment for the Faculty, with the opening of its new and refreshed Southbank Campus.

The Role: The External Relations team is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Engagement and Partnerships Officer for a part time continuing role. This role provides key communications, operations and administrative support for the engagement team and is an opportunity to hone your skills in partnerships, events, communication and alumni relationships. The role is a key interface with academic disciplines, providing timely and expert service to support the delivery of their events, performances and exhibitions.

The Team: The External Relations team is a dynamic and experienced team responsible for growing the reputation of Faculty and building a program of activities that establish it as a world leading fine arts and music teaching institution, in a tier one research University, in one of the world’s best arts precincts - Melbourne. The engagement and partnership part of the team of four supports the Faculty’s unique engaged teaching and learning program and builds connections with our industry and alumni communities. You will report directly to the Engagement and Partnership Manager.

You: You are an organised, adaptive, service-oriented communications, loyalty or event professional who has a background in successfully supporting multiple ongoing projects and providing key communication and event support to internal and external stakeholders.

Location: Based in the beautiful Southbank Campus of The University of Melbourne, you will work nestled amongst Melbourne’s major arts and cultural organisations and venues. You will have the convenience of great transport links to the rest of the city with the serenity of the Botanical Gardens close by.
