The Faculty of Fine Arts and Music at the University of Melbourne is home to the Victorian College of the Arts and the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. Long recognised as one of the leading providers of fine arts and music education in Australia, the Faculty has an ambitious plan to grow its global profile. 2019 marks an exciting and significant moment for the Faculty, with the opening of its new and refreshed Southbank Campus.

The Role: The External Relations team is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Engagement and Partnerships Coordinator for a full time continuing role. In addition to supporting the Faculty’s busy event, performance and exhibition program, this role will play a pivotal role in achieving the Faculty’s vision by delivering a new approach to partnerships and alumni.

The Team: The External Relations team is a dynamic and experienced team responsible for growing the reputation of Faculty and building a program of activities that establish it as a world leading fine arts and music teaching institution, in a tier one research University, in one of the world’s best arts precincts - Melbourne. The Engagement and Partnerships part of the team supports the Faculty’s unique engaged teaching and learning program by providing communications and event support to a busy performance, exhibition and event program, and developing best practice partnership and alumni activity to connect the Faculty to Melbourne’s Arts Precinct and beyond. You will report directly to the Engagement and Partnership Manager.

You: You are an imaginative, audience driven, loyalty, events or communications professional with a keen eye for detail and excellent project management and communication skills. You will enjoy working with academic colleagues and internal teams to develop and deliver key events. Ideally you will also have experience building and maintaining partnerships in the arts, entertainment or university sectors.

Location: Based in the beautiful Southbank Campus of The University of Melbourne, you will work nestled amongst Melbourne’s major arts and cultural organisations and venues. You will have the convenience of great transport links to the rest of the city with the serenity of the Botanical Gardens close by.
