About the role
The Education Designer will be responsible for working with academic and professional staff in designing, developing and deploying digital and online learning resources that contribute to the teaching and learning programs at Melbourne Law School (MLS). In addition to educational design, the position focuses on capacity building: assisting academic staff in developing the design and technical skills needed for digital and online teaching and assisting in implementing MLS and University priorities for online teaching development. The candidate will have evidence of creativity with a focus on the student learning experience and will be able to manage projects across the subject offerings within MLS.
The role of Education Designer will be based at Melbourne Law School and report to Associate Professor Julie Clarke.
Solid experience in the practice of educational design, particularly through student-based learning, is essential, as is an understanding of education in the contemporary learning context and a background in the development of frameworks for efficient and effectively learning design.
The incumbent will need to build positive relationships with a variety of internal and external professional and academic stakeholders and gain a thorough understanding of the University’s policy and operational frameworks.
