About Chief Operating Operator Portfolio

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) Portfolio is responsible for the University’s budget and financial performance, and the management of its property and capital.  It also delivers efficient and effective shared services in support of all aspects of the University’s business.

About the role

The International Research Grants team coordinates the provision of high quality research grants support services with a focus on international funding. The Team Leader plans and oversees workflow, task completion, and relationship management with a goal of supporting the University’s strategy to grow international research. Excellent organisational and leadership skills are required to complete key tasks day to day in grants management, as well as project tasks in agreed timeframes. A key aspect of the role is working with internal and external stakeholders to balance the requirements of international sponsors with University policy and Australian best practice. 

To be successful in this role you will have strong problem-solving skills and be passionate about supporting research, continuous improvement and innovation with a proven record of influencing and engaging others with your leadership skills. Your strong customer centric focus will ensure you build strong working relationships, seeking advice from others as required.

About you

You will have:

-  A tertiary qualification and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training

-  Expert knowledge of international grant funding programs

-  Experience leading, coaching and developing members of a team

-  Proven ability to thrive in a changing and fast-paced environment
