About Chief Operating Operator Portfolio

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) Portfolio is responsible for the University’s budget and financial performance, and the management of its property and capital.  It also delivers efficient and effective shared services in support of all aspects of the University’s business.

About the role

The Early Childhood Educator (Certificate III) will provide early childhood care and education for children and, in cooperation with and under the guidance of the Early Childhood Educator (Diploma), will develop and deliver a program that focuses on the skills and interests of the children, informed by ‘Belonging, Being and Becoming’ (the Early Years Learning Framework), and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.

About you

  • Approved Certificate III level qualification in children’s services or approved equivalent qualification, with relevant experience in long day care or other early childhood settings
  • Ability to establish and maintain warm, respectful, and reciprocal relationships with children to enable them to feel secure and confident in the learning environment
  • Understanding of the National Quality Framework, including the National Quality Standard, Early Years Learning Framework and Regulations
  • Good oral and written communication skills and ability to provide feedback to families and colleagues
  • Ability to actively reflect on practice, and willingness to engage in continuing professional development, contribute to the centre program, and participate in research projects as appropriate
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative in day to day work and in solving problems
  • Ability to liaise with and support Diploma and Degree qualified educators
  • Proven ability to thrive in a changing and fast paced environment
