The Opportunity

The Melbourne School of Engineering has an exciting opportunity available for our next Student Enrichment Programs Officer. As part of our Student Enrichment team the role will support events and initiatives that increase student engagement and enhance the student experience.

This role will contribute to a broad range of initiatives to support the student experience including Mentoring, Orientation and Internships, through both administrative support and the coordination of people and events.

The Student Enrichment Support Officer is suited to someone who is looking to take on a role with real scope to drive continuous improvement. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated to create new opportunities and make a real contribution to our strategic objectives. You will achieve this through your strong interpersonal skills, customer focus, organisation and an ability to work both autonomously and as part of a highly supportive team.

Selection Criteria

  1. A tertiary qualification or an advanced diploma with subsequent work experience or an equivalent combination of experience in a similar role;
  2. Demonstrated commitment to the delivery of excellent customer service;
  3. High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a broad range of people
  4. Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and ensure the timely delivery of activities;
  5. Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery;
  6. Ability to work both in a team and independently to achieve results.

Previous administrative experience in a tertiary education environment and/or experience in an event management or project coordination role is desirable.
