Reporting to the Divisional Lead Oral Education and Innovation, the Learning Designer/Educational Technologist will be involved with the range of projects within the Melbourne Dental School, to enhance the quality of teaching, learning and assessment, and student experience. The role will also provide technical expertise to support the successful development, evaluation, delivery and maintenance of blended undergraduate and gradual subjects at the School.
The Learning Designer will contribute to the design and development of online learning activities, as well as working on a range of projects which include developing educationally-based technology solutions such as static and interactive objects and images, quizzes, branching scenarios and other learning assets, as informed by subject and course-level learning designs. The incumbent will use their understanding of emerging technologies to contribute ideas and objects that realise subject and course-level learning designs as innovative, engaging and student-focused course content.
The role will require the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining consistently high-quality standards throughout. This will involve fostering and maintaining positive professional working relationships with other members of project teams, and other professional and academic stakeholders, utilisation of an array of project management tools.
