The School of Social and Political Sciences is at the forefront of teaching and research in the social sciences in Australia. The School has a team of dedicated academic and professional staff in the disciplines of Political Science, Criminology, Anthropology, Development Studies and Sociology as well as allied research centres providing a dynamic and rewarding environment for staff and students. 

About the role

The Lecturer in Political Science will be a committed, engaging teacher and researcher and must be able to teach subjects in Politics and International Relations at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.


The Lecturer will undertake research resulting in quality publications with leading publishers in their field and will have an established or developing record of excellence and innovation in teaching. They will also foster engagement links with external networks/partners both nationally and internationally. Applicants researching and teaching in the subfields of international relations and public policy are particularly encouraged to apply.

You will be expected to make contributions to the teaching effort of the institution and to carry out activities to maintain and develop your scholarly, research, and/or professional activities relevant to the profession or discipline.
