About the Role
The Administration and Rostering Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of rostering and scheduling for the professional veterinary nurse and academic clinical veterinary teams. Reporting to the Hospital Support Team Lead, the position will work closely with the Nurse Team Manager Lead and Nurse Team Managers as well as Service Heads in understanding rostering requirements of each team and coordinating rostering activities across the U-Vet Werribee Animal Hospital.
The position will also liaise with the Academic Support Office and academic rotation leaders to support the distribution of rotating-specific information to DVM4 students, including scheduling information.
The position will provide broad administration support to the Hospital Manager and Nurse Team Managers as well as the Production Animals group as directed. This includes administration of all practice management systems including software updates, data input, managing clipboards, updating procedure lists and other menus, pricing and price packages and other business related functions.
A key administration component of this position will be to generate management reports and working with clinical leads to improve data input, management and retrieval across the hospital.
To be successful in this position, you will have completed a relevant diploma qualification or Certificate IV with relevant work experience in a similar position. The incumbent will have proven experience in rostering and scheduling across multiple services to ensure continuity of case and service delivery to clients and patients in a busy work environment.
The ideal candidate will respond quickly and effectively to find solutions in filling gaps in the roster due to unplanned changes in staff availability. The position will require proven knowledge and ability to apply appropriate Enterprise Agreement conditions and compliance with shift rostering.
This position will have prior administration and reporting experience including being able to quickly learn new practice management systems, and adapt to a changing environment.
