Salary: $64,642- $69,973 p.a. (pro-rata) plus employer superannuation contributions of 17%
The Faculty Research Adviser assists the Faculty Research Service Manager to develop and deliver a pro-active faculty research service for the Melbourne Law School. The mission of the service is to increase the quality, quantity and impact of the law faculty’s publications and to help move Melbourne Law School into the top fifty legal research institutions in the world. The Faculty Research Adviser will join the faculty research service team comprising a Faculty Research Service Manager and research assistants with support as needed from other Law Library staff members, including the Legal Research Skills Adviser. The goal of the service is to provide exemplary reference and research expertise primarily for Melbourne Law School academic staff working on grant applications, publications, teaching materials and knowledge transfer projects. The service will also offer a program of sophisticated legal research training to the research assistants. The Faculty Research Service Adviser reports to the Faculty Research Service Manager.
Experience in performing sophisticated print and online legal research and teaching legal research techniques is essential.
