About the Role
The IT Portfolio Lead plans and evaluates delivery across the University’s IT portfolio to ensure alignment with organisational and technology strategies. You will also be responsible for facilitating right-sized, integrated governance mechanisms for effective decision-making. Work with executive stakeholders, project and operational teams to champion effective IT governance. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the annual IT investment planning cycle, liaising with executive stakeholders, and developing information gathering requirements for project teams. 
  • Ensuring consistent project delivery practices across the Portfolio, facilitating information flow, and providing clear guidance on process and requirements. 
  • Maturing capacity planning capabilities and coordinating service management activities for the IT function. 


Who we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced IT Portfolio leader with exceptional stakeholder management skills and a passion for technology-led business outcomes! You will establish clear, effective practices and processes across domains and thrive in navigating a large, complex organisation. A curious mind and an eye for detail are key, as you'll work with multiple senior and executive stakeholders  to develop high-quality reports and artefacts. Bonus points for experience with IT project methodologies! 

You will also have:

  • A degree in commerce/business, information technology or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • A collaborative, outcome-focused approach, with an emphasis on building strong relationships and collaborating across work groups.
  • Exceptional written communication skills particularly in preparing high quality materials for senior stakeholders that convey complex information effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse and synthesise technical and business information.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
