About the Role
The Risk and Compliance Advisor fosters a risk-aware culture within Business Services, empowering teams to effectively manage their risks. They collaborate closely with the Lead to maintain risk registers and implement treatment plans while developing and supporting risk management frameworks and tools. This role is essential for communicating risk concepts to stakeholders and adapting risk practices to diverse contexts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across Business Services teams.
  • Working with stakeholders to assess compliance with regulations and standards, and monitor adherence to University policies.
  • Supporting strategies to promote a culture of sustained compliance and risk awareness among Business Services team members.

Who we are looking for
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Risk and Compliance professional with a proven track record in end-to-end risk management. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a curious mindset. They will be able to adapt their skills and knowledge to different operational contexts.

You will also have:

  • A degree in business, information technology, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training
  • Experience in end-to-end risk management and compliance roles, with a focus on IT and/or non IT operational areas
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
