About the Role
The Regional Manager, reporting to the Senior Manager, Offshore Student Recruitment, oversees planning, coordination, and reporting of recruitment activities across designated offshore markets. This role focuses on meeting international student recruitment targets by providing market intelligence and expertise, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver events and activities in offshore markets. The Regional Manager ensures a seamless prospective student journey, driving service excellence and continuous improvement within a complex, performance-based environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute an international student recruitment and conversion plan aligned with the University’s strategic targets for designated offshore markets.
  • Coordinate and manage recruitment events, and collaborate with Admissions and Scholarships teams to optimise the prospective student experience.
  • Provide market intelligence and reporting, support global recruitment initiatives, and create engaging remote engagement tactics.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with education agents and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and contributing to marketing content and communications.

Who we are looking for

You will have proven success in international student recruitment, with the ability to develop and evaluate recruitment plans. You will demonstrate high-level written and verbal communication skills, excel in stakeholder management, and be proactive in identifying and addressing market needs. With a passion for student recruitment and exceptional organisational skills, you will effectively manage multiple projects and deliver outstanding service while embodying COO values through proactive engagement and relationship-building.

You will also have:

  • A relevant undergraduate qualification coupled with management experience in student recruitment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proficiency in using Salesforce, CiA, and other common IT systems related to student recruitment and selection.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment for international education in Australia.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.

Student and Scholarly Services (SASS) handles student administration from recruitment to graduation. The Executive Directorate, led by the Executive Director and Academic Registrar, manages student grievances, operational planning, and communications, while providing support to the Executive Director and sub-portfolio directors.
