About the Role
As a highly visible Finance Business Partner, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to drive strategic and operational success. Your role involves managing financial performance, optimising resource allocation, and providing expert financial insights to support informed decision-making.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure efficient allocation of resources, monitor financial performance, and provide strategic financial insights to support divisional goals.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and work closely with shared services areas.
  • Provide timely, accurate financial analysis and commentary, identify risks and opportunities, and inform the development of financial reporting frameworks.

Who we are looking for
We seek a highly skilled Finance Business Partner with experience in a similar role within a complex organisation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for understanding business needs, strong financial planning expertise, exceptional analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. Experience in the higher education sector and familiarity with financial planning tools would be advantageous.

You will also have:

  • Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA);
  • Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in Finance, Accounting or other relevant disciplines, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • Experience in a similar role in a similar sized organisation

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant financial legislation and obligations
