About the Role
As a talented Citrix Engineer, you will be instrumental in implementing and managing Citrix platforms to support the University's operational and academic objectives. This role focuses on delivering reliable, secure, scalable, and manageable Citrix solutions tailored to the University's requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design and implement Citrix platform strategies and roadmaps to address the University's present and future requirements.
- Assess and select optimal infrastructure solutions, balancing on-premise and cloud capabilities while considering cost, availability, scalability, and performance.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to boost the efficiency, security, capacity, scalability, and availability of Citrix platforms, ensuring excellent user satisfaction.
- Support bring-your-own-device (BYOD) initiatives in student workspaces and labs by delivering lab software and resources via Citrix Cloud.
- Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Azure Virtual Desktops or
Amazon EC2, VMware vSphere, networking.
Who we are looking for
We’re looking for people who can confidently demonstrate and ensure Citrix solutions are reliable, secure, scalable, and manageable, aligning with the University's requirements.
You will also have:
- Industry based certification and/or demonstrated working knowledge around Citrix platforms.
- Post graduate qualifications in a relevant IT discipline and/or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
- Support the Citrix component of the Secure Research Environment (SRE).
- Work with the Microsoft End User Computing Team to ensure applications for Citrix platforms are updated, packaged, and available on time.
- Monitor the Citrix environment, proactively address incidents, perform root cause analyses, and enhance the end-user experience.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
