About the Role
The University of Melbourne's Melbourne Online seeks a highly organised Operations Officer to support the efficient delivery of online programs. You will contribute to the team by managing schedules, generating reports, and streamlining workflows. Your attention to detail and strong organisational skills will be essential in ensuring smooth operations and achieving our strategic goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing correspondence, organise files, and handle documentation for the operations team.
- Assisting in the delivery and maintenance of online courses, working closely with relevant teams.
- Input and maintain accurate records in databases and spreadsheets.
- Facilitate communication, generate reports, and provide general administrative support to the team.
Who we are looking for
We seek a highly organised and motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritise tasks, work effectively in a team, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. A customer-service oriented approach and strong attention to detail are essential for this role.
You will also have:
- While a Diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field is not essential, exposure to and experience of higher education in some form is required.
- Previous experience in an administrative or project support role, preferably in an operations or project management environment.
- Proficiency in office productivity software, including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and exposure to scheduling and project management software.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
