About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Officer within the Future Students Planning and Operations team, you play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with international education regulations. Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance and Compliance, your focus spans key offshore markets, supporting the University's strategic goal of diversifying the international student cohort.

Operating in a fast-paced environment, your responsibilities include improving business processes to align with external obligations like the ESOS Act and the National Code of Practice. Your role is pivotal in upholding quality standards and contributing to the University's commitment to excellence in international student engagement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support compliance with internal and external obligations as it relates to the Future Students directorate (including the ESOS Act and the National Code), including investigation of application documentation and timely administration of back-to-source verifications.
  • Providing excellent service to students and staff through accurate and timely advice in response to email and OneCRM queries regarding compliance and undergraduate advanced standing.
  • Maintaining the undergraduate advanced standing/credit precedent details in the University’s credit database.
  • Supporting the assessment and granting of undergraduate advanced standing applications and applying credit to study plans.

Who We Are Looking For
We’re seeking a Quality Assurance Officer who not only possesses remarkable administration skills, showcasing unparalleled attention to detail and accuracy, but also exudes exceptional organisational prowess. You're a multitasker, with a proven track record of adeptly navigating and successfully managing multiple tasks concurrently. Communication is key in this role, and we're in search of an individual with high-quality written and verbal skills. Beyond that, we value someone who has demonstrated their ability to communicate and build relationships effectively with individuals spanning a broad spectrum of roles.

You will also have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting compliance and quality assurance in a complex organisation.
  • Understanding of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, including the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
