About the Role
The ERP System Owner for HR, Finance, Payroll, and Time and Attendance systems oversees delivery, governance, and continuous improvement to meet University and stakeholder needs. Partnering with the Enterprise Technology Director, they set the roadmap for Workday HR/FIN, UKG PRO WFM, and Ascender Pay systems, covering releases, maintenance, and governance.

This role manages the ITIL lifecycle for security, development, and data integrity, engaging with stakeholders and vendors and leading change management. They also analyse and define business rules to shape ERP policies, ensuring alignment with University governance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across technology, HR, finance, and portfolio teams, leading ERP roadmap development to align with strategy and stakeholder needs
  • Drive value by prioritising high-impact tasks for the ERP team, addressing delivery blockers, and resolving technical debt to sustain platform quality
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams to meet expectations, synchronise with other initiatives, and ensure adherence to governance and design standards
  • Lead system testing, manage vendor relationships, oversee ERP team operations, and use feedback and market insights to enhance ERP systems

Who we are looking for
You will have strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to influence and balance priorities, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and proven leadership in managing diverse groups. Strong organisational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative approach in Agile environments are also essential.

You will also have:

  • Relevant post-graduate qualification and proven experience in Finance/HR/Payroll processes; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • ITIL qualifications with service management experience in an operational environment advantageous
  • Workday HRIS experience required, Workday, Ascender Pay or UKG PRO WFM  preferable
  • Significant demonstrable experience as a System Owner in large and complex organisations and having delivered software leveraging iterative/agile frameworks and practices to accelerate delivery of value
  • Significant Experience in working on implementation and within a BAU role for Workday, Ascender Pay, and UKG PRO WFM or equivalent technologies

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
