About the Role
The Graduate Research Coordinator plays a pivotal role within the Academic Programs team, providing high-level administrative support to graduate researchers, academic staff, and professional colleagues. This position oversees the coordination of graduate research admissions, scholarships, and candidature variations, while ensuring the seamless administration of course curriculum changes. Working closely with faculty leadership, the Coordinator supports the success of graduate researchers by managing key programs, events, and funding schemes. The role also includes providing executive support to Faculty committees, maintaining accurate records, and upholding compliance with University policies. The Coordinator contributes to a collaborative work environment, helping to enhance the graduate research experience and advance the Faculty's strategic objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating graduate research admissions, scholarships, candidature variations, and internal funding schemes, while ensuring accurate records and timely communication with stakeholders.
- Providing executive support to Faculty committees, including organising meetings, drafting reports, and contributing to governance and strategy discussions.
- Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and managing graduate research events and activities.
- Managing administrative tasks related to graduate research programs, including admissions, enrolment, and study planning, as well as implementing process improvements to enhance service delivery.

Additionally, your ability to create positive relationships and contribute to a respectful, inclusive work culture will greatly enhance your effectiveness in this role.
You also have:
- Proven experience in coordinating complex functions, demonstrating strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, and managing competing deadlines effectively.
- A demonstrated capacity to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of University governance, policies, and procedures related to graduate research programs, with the ability to apply this knowledge in daily operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly adapt to new software tools.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
