Your next career opportunity
As an Executive Assistant at The University of Melbourne's Epilepsy Research Centre, you will play a crucial role in supporting Laureate Professor Ingrid Scheffer and Professor Piero Perucca. You will coordinate clinical activities, manage research projects, and liaise with diverse stakeholders across the university and healthcare sector. This challenging role offers you the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking epilepsy research while developing your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate Clinical Activities: Manage appointments, collate documentation and address patient queries and billing for the Professors' clinics. 
  • Support Research Projects: Arrange meetings, maintain project documentation, monitor deadlines, and assist with expense reporting for various clinical and research projects.
  • Manage Communications: Act as a liaison between the Professors and senior academics, hospital executives, clinicians and external organisations, preparing correspondence and managing inquiries. 
  • Diary and travel coordination: Coordinate interstate and international travel, develop schedules, and prepare briefing materials for the Professors.  
     

You will be a great fit if: 

You are a highly organised and proactive professional with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to supporting medical research and patient care.

You also:

  • Have a tertiary degree or extensive experience in administrative fields.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with medical terminology.
  • Show a high level of discretion, diplomacy, and attention to detail.
