As a Project Officer (Anti-Racism), you'll play a crucial role in implementing the University of Melbourne's Anti-Racism Action Plan and Diversity and Inclusion Strategy 2030. You'll have the opportunity to develop a diverse skill set, working on data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project support. This role offers excellent development prospects for early-career professionals passionate about driving positive change in higher education.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support Anti-Racism Initiatives: Assist in delivering, evaluating, and reporting on the Anti-Racism Action Plan
- Conduct Research and Reporting: Undertake desktop research, benchmarking and prepare briefing papers and reports.
- Coordinate Stakeholder Engagement: Provide governance support for working groups and contribute to communications initiatives.
- Analyse and Report Data: Collect, analyse, and report on diversity and inclusion metrics to inform strategic decisions.
- Support development of communications materials and management of events.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a keen interest in anti-racism and diversity initiatives, possessing strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Experience in higher education or government would be highly beneficial in this role.
You may also:
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Have experience in project support or implementation.
- Be proficient in data analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrate good judgement and professionalism in handling complex situations.
