Your next career opportunity
As the Leave Compliance Lead, you'll spearhead the University's leave management processes, ensuring compliance with legal and institutional requirements. You'll have the opportunity to lead a small team, collaborate with key stakeholders across the university, and drive continuous improvement in HR service delivery. This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact on university-wide operations while developing your expertise in HR compliance and process optimisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead Leave Compliance Function: Oversee end-to-end leave management processes, ensuring compliance with university policies, Enterprise Agreements, and relevant legislation
- Provide Expert Guidance: Offer subject matter expertise on leave enquiries and calculations, resolving complex issues and identifying emerging trends
- Manage and Improve Processes: Develop standard operating procedures, streamline workflows, and implement assurance practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Lead and Develop Team: Oversee a small team, managing workloads and fostering a culture of excellence in service delivery
You may be a great fit if:
You are an experienced HR professional with a strong background in compliance, process improvement, and stakeholder management, coupled with excellent analytical skills and a deep understanding of leave entitlements in the higher education sector.
You may also:
- Possess a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Have experience in human resources, payroll, or compliance within the higher education sector
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of university policies, Enterprise Agreements, and relevant legislation
- Excel at complex calculations and data analysis, with strong Excel skills
- Have strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Be experienced in managing sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality
