- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Centre for Excellence in Rural Sexual Health (CERSH), guiding the strategic plan and operations to achieve its vision of ensuring all rural Victorians have access to quality sexual health care, information, and support tailored to their individual needs.
- Play a pivotal role in driving innovative initiatives and system changes to improve sexual and reproductive health service provision in rural Victoria, leveraging research evidence, fostering strategic partnerships, and championing the needs of underserved regional communities.

About the Role
Reporting to the Director, you will work closely to shape CERSH's strategic direction and oversee the efficient use of resources, continuous development of evidence-based projects, and alignment with the Victorian sexual and reproductive health and viral hepatitis strategy 2022–30 and CERSH's Strategic Plan 2020-2025.
Your responsibilities will include leading the implementation of strategic activities in regional communities, translating research evidence into practical programmes and system changes, and coordinating practical implementation strategies.

- Coordinate and document practical implementation strategies based on research evidence, producing high-quality reports for partners, stakeholders, and funders.
- Present findings from community-based implementation of research evidence at national and international conferences, demonstrating practical rural service system improvements.
- Contribute rural knowledge and expertise to local, national, and international research projects and partners in sexual and reproductive health.
Who We Are Looking For
You will possess a relevant postgraduate tertiary qualification and relevant experience in health management or sexual and reproductive healthcare programmes in a rural or regional environment.
You have demonstrated high-level skills in leadership, team building, strategic planning, managing and delivering rural sexual health projects, and developing, implementing, and evaluating programmes.
You will also have:
- Demonstrated experience in translating research outputs and evidence into 'real-world' sexual and reproductive health programmes in rural communities.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise and consult with policymakers and stakeholders in sexual and rural health, including government, healthcare providers, researchers, indigenous communities, young people, LGBTIQ+ communities, and other relevant agencies.
- Demonstrated experience in leading collaborative community action to address rural sexual and reproductive health needs.
- A comprehensive understanding of the primary healthcare system, MBS, and the rural and regional healthcare environment.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
