About the Role
The Marketing Specialist, International Marketing and Engagement is responsible for the development and delivery of integrated marketing communications programs that engage offshore prospective undergraduate, post-graduate and post-professional students to drive global reputation, advocacy, acquisition and retention outcomes.
Reporting to the Associate Director, International Marketing & Engagement this role will be responsible for delivering targeted and personalised marketing and communications initiatives across the student recruitment lifecycle in support of the University's teaching and learning targets in priority offshore markets.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver targeted marketing communications programs to engage prospective international students and drive acquisition, retention, and advocacy outcomes.
- Collaborate with Student Recruitment & Admissions to develop marketing plans that align with the University's global brand and value propositions.
- Lead the design, delivery, and performance reporting of international student marketing campaigns across the recruitment lifecycle, including events and digital engagement.
- Manage relationships with agency partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective project management and budget control for campaign success.
Who we are looking for
You will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with proven expertise in stakeholder management and relationship building at mid-senior levels. You will also demonstrate strong influencing, collaboration, and presentation skills, along with a track record of successfully executing complex projects and operating effectively in dynamic, changing environments.
You will also have:
- Work experience and a tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience and education/training.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic marketing programs, including higher education marketing, and engaging global audiences with an understanding of market nuances.
- Expertise in integrated content development and execution strategies, including digital platforms, proficiency in creating PowerPoint presentations, using Miro boards, and managing strategic documentation and strong budget management skills. .
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships, manage multiple stakeholders, and make strategic decisions in complex environments. International collaboration experience is valued.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
