Your next career opportunity
As a postdoctoral researcher in our 'Rare and Complex Lung Disease' Lab, you'll spearhead an NHMRC Ideas-funded project exploring placental insights into fetal pharmacokinetics in cystic fibrosis. You'll gain hands-on experience in both clinical and biomedical research, working across disciplines in a collaborative environment. Your work will directly contribute to advancing precision medicine, integrating cutting-edge multi-omics approaches with PK modelling and histological assessments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop Pharmacokinetic Workflows: Create and implement workflows for in-depth analysis of human placenta and maternal-fetal drug transfer.
- Conduct Multidisciplinary Research: Apply skills in respiratory pharmacology, animal models, and human tissue analysis to drive project outcomes.
- Contribute to Database Development: Help create a comprehensive national/international database for the cystic fibrosis-pregnancy research community.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Participate in team activities, contribute to publications, and present at conferences to disseminate research findings.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a highly motivated researcher with a PhD or substantial progress towards one, possessing multidisciplinary skills in respiratory pharmacology and a strong foundation in pharmacokinetic modelling analysis.
You may also:
- Have experience in biochemistry techniques, multi-omics data integration, and immune-histochemical analysis.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective research collaboration.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Be comfortable working with patient and control groups in CF pharmacology and pregnancy research.
- Have experience with data and statistical platforms like REDCap.
