About the Role
Are you ready to dive into a dynamic role where you'll play a pivotal part in delivering top-notch enrolment services? As a Senior Enrolment Adviser (SEA), you'll be at the forefront of ensuring smooth enrolment processes for students and colleagues university-wide. From providing expert guidance to mastering data management, your skills will shape the student experience. Collaborative spirit, adaptability, and a knack for interpreting policies are crucial. Join us in the Enrolment Compliance team, where you'll lead critical compliance tasks like coordinating re-enrolment for thousands of students and providing essential advice on government and university regulations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Under the Team Leader's guidance, ensure smooth delivery and improvement of vital enrolment services.
  • Delivering accurate, timely, and culturally appropriate support and advice to a diverse range of individuals.
  • Providing one-to-one and group training for team members, including recruitment, training, and supervision of casual staff.

Who we are looking for
We're seeking professionals who excel in organising, delivering, and enhancing large-scale, time-sensitive services, drawing on collaborative efforts for precision. Your interpersonal finesse and adept written communication skills are essential, enabling you to provide expert guidance and support to diverse stakeholders across various platforms and contexts, from senior academics to peers. Maintaining focus, accuracy, and a positive outlook is key in a dynamic environment. As a strong team player, you'll actively contribute to team activities while cultivating expertise across multiple domains. You will also have:

  • A degree with relevant experience, extensive expertise in technical or administrative fields, or an equivalent blend of experience and education/training.
  • Possess a thorough grasp of the Educational Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS), pertinent UoM policies, and the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (HESA), understanding their role in supporting coursework and research student enrolments.
  • Showcase proven expertise in correctly interpreting and applying legislative and policy frameworks, ensuring seamless alignment of processes.
  • Demonstrate a track record of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, adeptly utilising macros and complex formulas to extract, combine, analyse, and refine large datasets
  • Possess experience working with large integrated databases, including student management systems and customer relationship management systems.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.

Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.

The Senior Enrolment Advisers are part of Student Enrolments, one of many teams that form Stop1 (“Connecting students and services”). Student Enrolments is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality services to students and stakeholders from across the University in the areas of enrolment, results, and enrolment compliance.
