About the Role
The Curriculum Redesign Manager will lead the implementation of a comprehensive curriculum redesign for the Melbourne Dental School’s Bachelor of Oral Health, Doctor of Dental Surgery, and Doctor of Clinical Dentistry programs. Collaborating with subject matter experts, senior leadership, and professional staff, the role focuses on coordinating curriculum development, integrating online learning tools, and enhancing student learning experiences. With strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, the manager will build partnerships across the School and health services, oversee a dedicated team, and deliver high-quality educational outcomes in alignment with project goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- In consultation with the School Manager, Director of Assessment and Evaluation and Director Teaching and Learning, lead and develop project and operational plans to timely support the implementation of the Curriculum Redesign Project.
- Support the design and delivery of the redesigned MDS curriculum commencing in 2024 (DDS Year 1) and subsequent rolling development and implementation of all three programs in future years.
- Be the primary point of contact for all communication about the project to stakeholders to ensure milestones are achieved timely and efficiently.
- In consultation with the Academic Programs team and Learning Designers develop key resources and information systems to support staff in successfully delivering the redesigned programs.
Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams and support staff to achieve positive outcomes. They will demonstrate strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, effectively managing projects, resources, and budgets while implementing innovative solutions and initiatives in a dynamic environment.
You will also have:
- Completed relevant post graduate qualifications and subsequent relevant industry consulting or project management experience within a complex organisation (tertiary education sector desirable), or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including the development of new systems, resources, and training to ensure success of the project.
- Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to develop and manage project plans, resourcing and budgets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to foster collaboration across diverse areas of the organisation.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
