Students@Work Global Learning Narrm Scholar Intern 2025

The Global Learning Intern provides peer advice to prospective learning abroad students with timely, relevant and authentic advice on participating in Global Learning (GL) programs, and provides administrative support to the Global Learning Team. The Narrm Scholar Intern will use their insights as a fellow Narrm Scholar to provide support to fellow students on the application and pre-departure process.

The Global Learning intern will be included in the Students@Work Internship Program 2025.

About the S@W Internship Program

The S@W Internship Program was established in January 2017 and it aims to provide work and skill development opportunities to current University of Melbourne students. More information about the program can be found here: https://go.unimelb.edu.au/ww6p

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and delivery of events, and social media campaign
  • Peer advice via booked appointment and chat service at Stop 1
  • Identify and deliver projects that improve the student experience for Global Learning programs
  • Provide administrative support for inbound admissions, outbound application and acceptance processes
  • Respond and triage written enquiries
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Other tasks as required (in line with the UOM 4 level)

Eligibility

  • Currently enrolled University of Melbourne Narrm Scholar, with expected study completion date of no earlier than December 2025.
  • Currently living in Australia (Onshore) or will be throughout the term of the internship
  • Can commit to working 14 – 21 hours per week (Monday – Friday only) between April and November 2025 (including non-teaching periods). Must be available for a minimum of 3 hours per shift
  • Can work at least one of the Global Learning service days (Tuesday or Thursday)
  • Do not have more than 3 weeks leave planned between April and November 2025
  • Employee Working with Children Check – or willing to obtain one with costs covered by the University.

  • Organisational skills - Action oriented, is able to make a clear plan and be self-organised, self-regulated and manage work in order to meet deadlines
