Your next career opportunity
As the Coordinator, Talent Acquisition Support, you'll play a crucial role in the University's recruitment process. You'll have the opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of talent acquisition, from job postings to candidate management. Working autonomously and collaboratively, you'll enhance your skills in stakeholder engagement, process improvement, and HR administration while contributing to the University's mission of attracting top talent.

This hybrid role is based 3 days per week at the Parkville Office, with flexibility to work 1 day from home.

You’ll be part of the Academic Recruitment Team, supporting some of the University’s faculties including Science, Education, Business and Economics, Melbourne Law School, Arts, and the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music. From a recruitment perspective, you'll be exposed to fascinating projects: from groundbreaking research into the de-extinction of the thylacine (Tasmanian tiger), to exploring traditional and urban music cultures from around the world.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support End-to-End Recruitment: Assist with job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer management.
  • Manage Administrative Tasks: Handle advertising costs, code expenses, and maintain accurate recruitment data for reporting.
  • Enhance Candidate Experience: Build positive relationships with stakeholders and candidates, ensuring a smooth recruitment process.
  • Contribute to Process Improvement: Participate in developing new processes and recommending enhancements to existing ones.

You are a detail-oriented and adaptable professional with strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service.

You may also:

  • Have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in recruitment or a related field.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills and a solution-focused mindset.
  • Demonstrate high proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and aptitude for learning new digital platforms.
  • Have experience with recruitment systems such as Workday and ServiceNow.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
