Your next career opportunity: As the Research Strategy Project Officer, you'll be at the forefront of implementing our new research strategy, Advancing Melbourne 2030. You'll have the opportunity to drive innovation across our research ecosystem, foster groundbreaking interdisciplinary collaborations, and champion initiatives that elevate our research culture. This role offers significant professional growth and exposure to institution-wide initiatives, allowing you to make a lasting impact on the University's research landscape.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drive Strategic Research Initiatives: Support the implementation of the new research strategy, working on projects related to funding programs, infrastructure strategy, and research culture.
- Provide High-Quality Project Support: Coordinate research strategy activities, draft reports and briefings, and provide secretariat support to key committees.
- Engage with Stakeholders: Liaise effectively across the University to support collaborative goals and project implementation.
- Conduct Research and Analysis: Evaluate and monitor research schemes and initiatives to inform strategic decision-making.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a proactive and analytical professional with strong communication skills, capable of synthesising complex information and presenting it clearly to diverse audiences while exercising independent judgment in a dynamic research environment.
You may also:
- Have experience in a project officer role within a complex organisation, preferably in higher education or research.
- Possess excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Be proficient with MS Office and adaptable to learning new software.
- Have familiarity with University of Melbourne administrative systems and processes (desirable).
