About the Role
The Student Recruitment Officer plays a key role in promoting the University’s graduate and undergraduate programs to prospective students in Australia and internationally. As part of the Future Students team within the Science Divisional Group, the role supports recruitment strategies, enquiry management, and application processing while contributing to events and campaigns that enhance student engagement. Success in this role requires an innovative approach to recruitment, leveraging multiple communication strategies to maximise student enrolment outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide support to the Recruitment Manager for the Divisional Group on the recruitment and admissions plan and assist with ongoing review and monitoring against plan to meet KPI’s.
- Support and deliver graduate recruitment activities aligned to the Divisional Group’s strategic recruitment targets.
- Contribute to undergraduate activities, especially large University wide recruitment events, as required.
- Support recruitment and conversion strategies relevant to the Divisional Group and participate in university wide recruitment activity managed by the Hub to generate sufficient and high-quality student enquires and application volumes to ensure Divisional student load targets are met.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate possesses strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment. They excel in verbal and written communication and stakeholder management, demonstrating confidence in presentations and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
You will also have:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
- Previous experience with student recruitment within a tertiary education context;
- Previous experience with event management.
- Demonstrated commitment and experience in providing a high level of service delivery to students and Divisions alike.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
