As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Information Systems, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing research and teaching within our world-ranked department. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in areas such as digital innovation, cybersecurity, and AI ethics, while shaping the next generation of IS professionals through our prestigious graduate programmes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Drive Research Excellence: Conduct high-quality research, publish in top-tier journals, and secure external funding to support your research programme.
- Deliver Innovative Teaching: Develop and deliver engaging courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, embracing innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Foster Industry Engagement: Build partnerships with industry and government stakeholders, enhancing the real-world impact of your teaching and research.
- Provide Academic Leadership: Supervise research students, contribute to curriculum development, and take on leadership roles within the department and university.
You will be a great fit if:
You are an ambitious Information Systems scholar with a strong research track record, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and with industry partners.
You will also:
- Hold a PhD in Information Systems or a closely aligned discipline.
- Have a proven publication record in high-quality IS journals and conferences.
- Possess expertise in areas such as IS user behaviours, human-AI interaction, or digital innovation.
- Demonstrate the ability to secure research funding and supervise graduate students.
- Have experience in developing and delivering engaging courses in information systems.
- Show a commitment to fostering industry partnerships and interdisciplinary collaboration.
