Your next career opportunity
The Melbourne Centre for Clinical Trials (MCCT) is seeking an experienced clinical trialist to provide strategic leadership as the Clinical Co-Director. In this part-time role, you will work collaboratively with the MCCT Methodology Co-Director and Steering Committee to shape the direction of clinical trials across the University of Melbourne and affiliated hospitals and institutes. You will drive initiatives to foster collaboration and enhance clinical trial capabilities across the network.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Developing and implementing the strategic plan for MCCT in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Facilitating collaboration and communication among MCCT partners
• Representing MCCT in interactions with external stakeholders and potential research partners
• Identifying opportunities for clinical partnerships, collaborations and funding sources
You may be a great fit if:
• You have a medical degree and advanced clinical research qualifications (e.g. PhD & MD or equivalent)
• You bring extensive experience conducting and leading clinical trials
• You have proven leadership and strategic planning skills in a clinical research setting
• You excel at fostering collaboration and building partnerships within the clinical research community
You may also:
Have familiarity with regulatory frameworks and accreditation processes for clinical trials
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Have a track record of successful grant funding and publications in clinical research

Your new team –The Melbourne Centre for Clinical Trials (MCCT) has been established to facilitate and coordinate the collaboration of clinical trials units and methodology groups across the Melbourne network comprised of The University of Melbourne and affiliated Melbourne Academic Centre for Health (MACH) hospitals and institutes. The primary purpose of the MCCT is to facilitate best practices in the design and conduct of clinical trials, supporting stakeholders through collaboration with the MCCT.
