Your next career opportunity 
As a Senior Graduate Research Officer, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the Faculty of Arts’ graduate research operations. You will coordinate application, selection, candidature administration and compliance with University policies. Working closely with supervisors and academic leaders, your will provide expert administration support, resolve complex queries and contribute to continuous improvement of processes that enhance the graduate research student experience. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Coordinate Graduate Research Processes: Administer the end-to-end lifecycle, including application, selection, progress reviews, candidature variations and research support.
  • Provide High-level Administrative Support: Assist Graduate Research committees, resolve complex matters and facilitate cross-institutional processes. 
  • Support candidate Onboarding and Engagement: Manage the delivery of onboarding programs, ensuring graduate researchers transition smoothly and have access to necessary resources.  
  • Contribute to Strategic Initiatives: Implement University and Faculty-based initiatives to enhance the graduate research experience.

You are a detailed-oriented professional with a proven ability to providing comprehensive support to graduate researchers and their supervisors. You demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and have ability to manage competing prioritise in a high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy. 

You may also: 

  • Excel in working both independently and collaboratively with a strong commitment to high-quality service delivery.  
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of institutional policies and procedures. 
  • Have experience in providing executive support for committee meetings. 
  • Show proficiency in using business enterprise systems and software applications.
