About the Role
The Digital Strategy and Channels (DSC) team is a new function with responsibility for delivering a best in sector digital experience worthy of one of the world’s leading Universities. The University has recently embarked on a leapfrog digital transformation program to realise this vision and this role contributes significantly to the effective delivery of leading digital experiences with a broad canvas in a purpose led organisation. 

As Web Production & Support Specialist you will be responsible for preparing users for publishing great websites for the University. This is through a combination of performing online training assessments, creating written training material and monthly zoom/classroom training so that staff from across the University know how to use the CMS effectively and efficiently.  You will enable the University community to use the content management system (Squiz Matrix) which is used for building and maintaining most of the University websites, in alignment with communications and marketing goals. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering training and upskilling of CMS users across the University 

  • Facilitating support requests from the web publishing community via the ServiceNow support processes for website support enquiries with patience and proficiency 

  • Diagnosing and solving technical issues related to website functionality, content display, and CMS integrations  

  • Creating support materials that help the website owners and maintainers with managing their websites and improving their practices   

Who we are looking for
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about web technologies and is committed to providing excellent customer support. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information and best practices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your excellent organization skills will be vital to the role. 

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing and supporting complex CMS environments, particularly Squiz Matrix, with a strong understanding of content structures, templates, workflows, and user roles
  • Extensive experience in developing and delivering user training materials for an enterprise CMS, creating help documentation, and fostering a culture of self-service learning 
  • Understanding of and ability to troubleshoot content related issues with HTML, CSS and JavaScript

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
