About the Role
The Manager Planning and Strategy is a key leadership role within the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor Global Culture and Engagement. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this position will lead strategic initiatives, coordinate complex projects, and foster collaboration across four key clusters. With a focus on internal communications and change management, this role will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of the GCE portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving strategic initiatives, developing business cases, and collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve GCE's goals.
  • Implementing efficient processes, managing projects, and ensuring alignment with University-wide priorities and reporting requirements. 
  • Building strong relationships, communicating effectively, and enhancing the University's reputation through strategic messaging.

Who we are looking for
We seek a highly skilled individual with strong analytical and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be able to translate complex data/concepts into actionable insights and effectively communicate findings to diverse stakeholders. Experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis, project management, and business intelligence tools is essential. Knowledge of the tertiary education sector is highly desirable. 

You will also have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent mix of education and significant relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of strategic program/project delivery to facilitate the development and implementation of major initiatives. 
  • Competency in data analysis and business intelligence tools.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
