Join the University of Melbourne as the Head of Learning Design for Melbourne Online, our newly established online education business. In this pivotal role, you'll lead the execution of learning design and the creation of high-quality online modules, ensuring a premium learning experience for students. You'll have the opportunity to shape the future of online education, drive innovation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Team leadership and management: lead, coach, and manage the learning design and content editor teams, building capability and enabling successful delivery of the course roadmap.
- Learning design standards: establish robust learning design systems, define quality standards, and drive innovation aligned with industry best practice.
- Production oversight and quality assurance: oversee the production process, ensuring alignment with project objectives, instructional design principles, and quality standards.
- Collaboration and stakeholder engagement: collaborate closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and delivery of a quality experience.
You may be a great fit if:
You are an experienced leader in learning design with a deep understanding of instructional design principles, best practice, and the ability to drive excellence at scale and pace while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
You may also:
- Extensive experience as a Head of Learning Design or similar role in a large and complex organisation.
- Have a proven track record in leading and managing high-quality learning design systems at scale and at pace.
- Demonstrate experience in working with Learning Management Systems to enhance the learner experience.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence in using data (including predictive measures) to drive insight and outcomes.
- Display a record of accomplishment in driving process improvement initiatives and implementing innovative solutions.
