About the Role
Oversee the development and delivery of impactful marketing and communications strategies that enhance the student journey. Leading a dynamic team, the incumbent is responsible for crafting and executing integrated campaigns across diverse channels to engage current students with the faculty’s programs, initiatives, and employability offerings. Through strategic collaboration with internal stakeholders, the role ensures the amplification of content that aligns with the University’s brand and objectives, while employing data-driven insights to optimise communications and elevate the student experience. With a focus on innovation, operational excellence, and meaningful connections, this position is integral to nurturing a sense of belonging and purpose for students throughout their academic journey and beyond.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies across multiple channels to enhance student engagement, ensuring alignment with the faculty’s objectives and the University’s brand guidelines.
- Leading and managing the Communications and Engagement (Students) team, planning workloads, coordinating stakeholder relationships, and overseeing campaign delivery to achieve optimal outcomes within deadlines and budgets.
- Creating and evaluating integrated campaigns and content that amplify student experience initiatives, leveraging data insights to refine strategies and improve engagement across the student journey.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing expert advice, post-campaign analyses, and innovative solutions to support continuous improvement in communication practices.

You possess exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, enabling you to inspire and guide a team while cultivating strong, collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. With a proactive and adaptable approach, you navigate complex challenges with sound judgement and a solutions-oriented mindset. Your excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, allow you to convey ideas with clarity and influence, encouraging engagement and alignment across various audiences. A keen eye for detail, combined with a creative and strategic perspective, ensures you deliver meaningful and impactful outcomes that resonate with students and stakeholders alike. Above all, you bring an empathetic and student-centred approach, demonstrating a genuine commitment to enhancing the student experience.
You also have:
- A relevant degree combined with significant professional experience, or equivalent expertise gained through education and practice.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering marketing and communication campaigns across various media, including digital and print, to engage diverse audiences effectively.
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team, prioritising competing demands, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of outcomes within strict timeframes and budgets.
- Advanced proficiency in content creation and management, utilising Content Management Systems and other tools to develop and maintain high-quality digital and multimedia communications.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
