About the Role
This role is critical in upholding University information regulations. As an Information Regulation Analyst, you will be a key player in administering and maintaining our robust policy and process frameworks. You will provide expert support for Freedom of Information, Privacy and Data Protection, tackling complex challenges in these areas. With a focus on compliance-by-design, you will proactively contribute to the development of University-wide compliance frameworks for information, data and records. This position demands strong collaboration with Academic Divisions and Chancellery to ensure high-quality and responsive service delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice and support on privacy and data protection and FOI legislation and assisting staff with compliance.
  • Developing and maintaining tools and systems to create and manage privacy assessments, policy and process frameworks, and FOI requests.
  • Driving continuous improvement by enhancing information governance practices through training, audits, and stakeholder engagement.


Who we are looking for
This role requires an individual who embodies the University's values, excels at stakeholder management, and possesses strong analytical and communication skills. Ideally, candidates will have a deep understanding of the University's context and a proven ability to streamline processes. Experience in privacy, data protection, and freedom of information legislation is highly desirable.

You will also have:

  • A tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and extensive experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
  • Business analysis and process mapping skills and a demonstrated ability to streamline and simplify complex methods or concepts, with strong attention to detail.
  • An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the University context, its strategic plans, policies and organisational structure, functions and processes.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
