Your next career opportunity
The Experiential Learning Support Officer plays a vital role in ensuring students are fully prepared for their clinical and professional placements. As part of the Learning and Teaching Unit, you'll guide students through complex compliance requirements, liaise with key stakeholders, and contribute to the smooth running of the MDHS Fit Testing Program.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing student-facing support, assisting students with inquiries, triaging them to relevant teams as needed, and ensuring a seamless and positive student experience through timely, professional, and student-centred service. This includes offering clear and accurate information, proactively identifying student needs, and contributing to continuous improvements in student experience.  
  • Providing clear, empathetic communication to students navigating complex pre-placement compliance requirements through phone, in-person, or email interactions.  
  • Supporting students in understanding and completing pre-placement compliance processes via Sonia. 
  • Liaising with academic staff and the placement team to address student eligibility concerns and ensure compliance with placement requirements. 
  • Maintaining accurate records and assisting with compliance audits.   
  • Contributing to the MDHS Fit Testing Program administration.

You may be a great fit if:

You have strong organisational and communication skills, experience in student support or placement coordination, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. A background in education, administration, or industry engagement would be highly valued.

You may also:

  • Have experience working in higher education administration or student services
  • Possess knowledge of health industry compliance requirements
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and time management skills
  • Have a passion for enhancing the student experience and supporting learner success

  6. Experience in client management, in particular service orientation, planning and prioritisation.
  7. Training in the University of Melbourne's Student One management system and One CRM (Salesforce).
  8. Website design experience.
  9. Knowledge of the University of Melbourne's policies and procedures particularly relating to students.
